intersted in seeing a diagram identifying part name (control arm, thrust arm, etc..), if anyone could help. Thnx.

I cannot see one WIS drawing that names all the parts for you. There are many drawings that cover different suspension/steering items. What are you mainly interested in?
Here is one that covers the torque strut, and the associated parts. However this part is also called (on other pages) tie strut and radius rod. So it gets confusing...

Thank you for the diagram. I was told "thrust arm bushings" are old and worn and cracked and leaking "left control arm bushings". So i am interested in those two parts. It does get confusing with all the different names..

I did a bit more digging, and found this US site: Auto Parts - Parts.com, For Every Part of Your Life
If you enter your model/year, you can dig down to component areas, eg suspension. Then you can see a diagram with the parts named. They also give you a price.
I reckon that Items #1 and #6 are your upper/lower control arms - they have bushings that wear. Could your thrust arm be a tie rod #18? (also called link rod)
I'm not sure about the 'leaking' statement. Some engine mounts 'leak', as do shock absorbers, but I'm surprised about bushings..

Thrust arm vs. control arm?
Thanks Keyhole. I did have new sway bar links (#18 in diagram) installed recently at one shop and they told me everything else looked good. I went to another shop for transmission oil/filter service where they told me about the leaking bushings. I guess the thrust arm is an alternate name for Control arm. I am getting suspicious of this shop who also told me the v-belt is old and worn when it looks intact with no cracks and plenty of tread. I do plan to replace it though since it sounds easy to do and I don't know the last time it was replaced if ever with 87k on the odometer.

by "leaking" bushings he must mean something that is filled with grease, like a ball joint or tie rod end. they have rubber boots filled with grease to keep the moving parts lubricated. if the boot is torn the grease leaks out, the joint dries out and wears quickly and can seize up. parts 1 and 6 on the diagram look like they have such grease-filled boots. I think one is called the torque strut and the other the cross strut in the Hayes manual, and I htink they each have a ball joint at one end.

Now you mention it, I'm sure that you are right here about the bushings. I had overlooked that boot feature.

02 c320 leaking rear leaking bushing also?
I noticed a small pool of fluid in front of my rear wheel, silver dollar size, it appeared to be the constantcy of break fluid. I pulled the wheel and it looks like its coming from the area where the rear suspension mounts to the frame. It is definitely not coming from the breaks or leaky shock. I wonder if they put a bladder of sorts there for ride inprovement??? Does any one know of this?
